First of all, I am Anthony(28) from South Korea. I spent half of my life in my home county and rest of my life in Australia. I worked as a chef to settle down in Australia and also studied nursing at Flinders University.
Why did I decide to be a bicycle traveller?
I spent all my 20s to find out what I wanted to do in the future and my main priority was to earn lots of incomes. Just like typical 20s people. I had a chance to go back to my home country to travel after spending ten years in Australia. Somehow I went out for hiking, and there was snow everywhere. After this trip, my perspective about travel was changed other way around. Visiting tourist attraction, eating nice food and resting in a hotel was the option for my trip plan. However now I want to see more local people know the nature and camping in the bush. In addition to this, I still love to eat nice local foods.
When I changed my idea about travel, I saw a couple on a blog who recently left their country to Adelaide in Australia for bicycle travel. At this point, my dream began to grow up slowly.
Long wait and plan
I couldn’t just leave uni (I was in 1st year). So I waited until I finish my uni. When I ended it, I made a short trip from Adelaide to Sydney. This short trip triggered me to dream bigger, and this lead me to prepare for world bicycle trip. I spent 18 months on working and saving money for the trip. In total, I spend almost four years to dream and prepare for world bicycle trip. I would like to call this time as the aging time of the dream.
I do not know how long this is going to take, but I want everyone who visits my blog to dream their trip.
My bicycle trip begins on 01/06/2018.
